The chinese characters Tai Chi Chuan can be translated as the 'Supreme Ultimate Force' The practice of Tai Chi is ment to foster the circulation of 'chi' or 'vital energy'. Tai Chi is now often practiced slowly and gracefully. It can be best thought of as yoga in motion or moving meditation. Many people use it for relaxation and concentration unknowing that it is a martial art ment for combat aswell. In all, Tai Chi is great for stregth and health of the body and focus and clarity of the mind.

Jeet Kune Do was created by Bruce Lee. Its based on Wing Chun Kung Fu, but has basics of many forms of combat. Thats why it is hard to define and is sometimes referred to as the formless form. JKD is taught in stages, once you have learned the basic forms, theories & fundamentals, one can concentrate more on what works for them. Different people have different strenghts so there is not a correct or incorrect response to an attack or defense. JKD is really the most deadly moves from all types of fighting.
I have been studying many types of fighting styles from Aikido to Wing Chun to Ninjitsu since my childhood.
