Han Xing Yuan

Was born in Nanjing in 1915 on 14th September. He started learning Xingyiquan from his father. Later he continued his study in Xingyiquan with Master Wang Zhanheng. Master Han also learned wrestling from his uncle Xiao Changshan who was a Royal Wrestler of the Ching Dynasty. He became a student of Grandmaster Wang Xiangzhai in 1931. Afterwards, Master Han became an assistant instructor in the ‘Siming Martial Arts Association’ established by his father in Shanghai.

In 1937, Grandmaster Wang Xiangzhai summoned Master Han to Beijing to assist in teaching the Yiquan class in ‘Sicun Society’. Master Han was a marvelous fighter, as he won so many fights; he made a reputation for himself and was nicknamed the ‘Watch Tiger’ of Yiquan.

In 1946, Han bid farewell to Grandmaster Wang Xiangzhai and went back to Shanghai where he taught in the ‘Shanghai Health and Martial Arts Research Association’.

In 1949, Han went south to Hong Kong. He concealed his abilities and did not talk about martial arts.

In the 60’s, Master Han opened a class at Grace Church, 2/F., 33 Un Chau Street, Samshuipo, Kowloon.

On 4th December 1966. The ‘Xingyi Dachenquan Association’, a clinic and martial arts school, was opened. During the twenty years of his teaching life, Master Han taught numerous Chinese and overseas students.

In the late 60’s, some students of Master Han immigrated to Canada, Australia, United Kingdom, France, and the United States, and they brought along the art of Yiquan with them. In the 70’s, Master Han visited the United States, Canada and United Kingdom to teach Yiquan. In these visits, he stayed for one to six months each time. Master Han was the first man in the history of Yiquan who spread the art all over the world.

On 18th January 1983, Master Han Xing Yuan passed away.

YIQUAN.COmpetitions tui shou tournament tests were organized in Warsaw, Poland on 24th October. The published video is not available anymore due to request of participants from different style.

YIQUAN.COmpetitions TUI Shou turnaj testy byly organizovány ve Varšavě v Polsku 24. října. Zveřejněné video již není k dispozici kvůli požadavku účastníků z jiného stylu.

Před hlavní Highlights klip od YIQUAN.COmpetitions 2012 , bude připraven, tady je ukázka z Vítězové Ligy bojuje.

Vytvořili jsme ligu vítězný na žádost osoby vykonávající Wu Tai Ji Quan, který po cévní mozkové příhodě není schopen účastnit se v typických bojových soutěží. Takže jsme se dohodli připravit nějaký formát pro tyto lidi, s použitím YIQUAN.COmpetitions Snadná Tui Shou pravidla. Bohužel tato osoba nemohla přijít na náš turnaj, kvůli zranění, které se mu stalo několik dní před dnem soutěže. Nicméně jsme byli schopni vést tento projekt s 2 ženy starší (70 + a 60 +), kteří jsou školení s námi základy yiquan a některé Taijiquan a další, mladší dámy (50 +), který je Taijiquan a qigong lékaře. Oni bojovali proti sobě, a nakonec každý z nich měl možnost vyzkoušet boj proti vítězi normální Easy Tui Shou.

Tak jsme dokázali, že lidé nejen že může začít trénovat bojová umění ve vyšším věku, po odchodu do důchodu, ale dokonce začíná pozdě, přesto se může stát konkurenty v kvazi-bojových turnajích!

Before the main highlights clip from YIQUAN.COmpetitions 2012 will be ready, here is a clip from Winners' League fights.

We have created Winners' League on request of a person practicing Wu Taijiquan, who after a stroke is not able to participate in typical combative competitions. So we agreed to prepare some format for such people, using YIQUAN.COmpetitions Easy Tui Shou rules. Unfortunately that person couldn't come to our tournament, due to injury which happened to him a few days before the competition date. However we were able to conduct this project with 2 elder ladies (70+ and 60+) who are training with us basics of yiquan and some taijiquan and another, younger lady (50+) who is a taijiquan and qigong practitioner. They were fighting against each other, and finally each of them had opportunity to try fighting against the winner of the normal Easy Tui Shou.

So we have proved, that people not only can start practicing martial arts at older age, after retirement, but that they even starting late, they still can become competitors in quasi-combative tournaments!
